VFD Builds

What is a VFD?

A VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) is an electronic device that controls the speed and torque of an electric motor by adjusting the frequency and voltage of the power supplied to it.

  • Controls motor speed precisely
  • Provides soft starts and stops (no hard jolts)
  • Reduces energy consumption
  • Protects motors from overloads and faults

Common Uses

  • Pumps and compressors
  • Mixers and process equipment
  • Fans and blowers

Which system is right for my application?

We design and build custom VFD solutions up to 1200HP, including multi-drive enclosures that control multiple motors from a single panel. Our capabilities include full PLC, HMI, and SCADA integration, networked drives using industrial communication protocols, and complete motor protection and power distribution.

We keep drives of all sizes in stock to reduce lead times and downtime. As a Schneider Electric Altivar Process Modular (APM) partner, we deliver proven, high-performance drive solutions backed by industry-leading support. APM provides us modularity to provide fast deployment and serviceability into your specific environment and application.

Each system is engineered for the application, with options for harmonic mitigation, environmental controls, and indoor or outdoor-rated enclosures, and is supported by startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting services for reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.
